To position Expedia at the centre of the media conversation, Ballou’s tactic, in addition to leading a classic corporate campaign, was to strengthen Expedia’s relationships with local and regional media, which are very powerful in France, to show how the company supports the local economy.

During the campaign, Ballou was able to position Expedia as the go-to source for B2B journalists on travel industry advertising trends.

Simultaneous campaigns highlighting trends in tourism, new technology tools in the industry, advices and tips for hoteliers or corporate announcements, enabled Expedia to be positioned as one of the journalists main sources for information.
