Spanish tour of not-to-be-missed tech events in 2025

Spain is set to reaffirm its position as a European hub for innovation and technology in 2025, with a calendar full of exciting events that attract entrepreneurs, investors, and industry leaders from around the world. Whether you’re a startup founder, corporate executive, investor or tech enthusiast, the country’s growing tech ecosystem offers various opportunities to explore.

One of the year’s early highlights is 4YFN (4 Years From Now), taking place in Barcelona alongside the renowned Mobile World Congress beginning in March. This event continues to be the go-to platform for startups, bringing together entrepreneurs, investors, and tech enthusiasts to explore the future of digital ecosystems. In 2025, 4YFN will shine a spotlight on AI-driven innovations, sustainability-focused tech solutions, and the burgeoning metaverse economy, making it a must-attend for those interested in the latest technological advancements.

In March, Madrid will host T3chFest on the 13th and 14th, a technology festival organized by students and alumni of the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid. This free event features a diverse range of topics, including artificial intelligence, cloud computing, cybersecurity, and more, providing a platform for knowledge sharing and networking among tech enthusiasts.

In April, CommitConf will also take place in Madrid on the 4th and 5th. This conference offers two days of presentations, workshops, and networking opportunities, covering the latest technologies and trends in software development. It’s an excellent opportunity to learn, connect with professionals in this field.

Bilbao will host the Energy Tech Summit on April 9th and 10th. Recognized as Europe’s top climate tech event, the summit brings together investors, disruptors, and government leaders to discuss innovative pathways towards decarbonization and challenge the status quo. The 2025 edition promises a dynamic format packed with inspiration, connections, and opportunities to amplify your impact.

In May, Málaga will be home to two major events. Digital Enterprise Show (DES), running from May 14th to 16th, will focus on driving digital transformation across industries. Mid-June will see South Summit return to Madrid from the 3rd to the 5th. As one of Southern Europe’s premier gatherings of startups, investors, and corporate innovators, South Summit 2025 will focus on topics like health tech, green energy, and the role of diversity in entrepreneurship. Whether you’re scouting the next big startup or looking for partnerships, this event is a prime opportunity to connect with visionaries driving change across industries.

As summer transitions into autumn, Startup Olé will bring the tech community to Salamanca in September. This unique event bridges the gap between academia and innovation, offering a platform for collaboration between startups, accelerators, and universities. In 2025, it will place an even stronger emphasis on EdTech, alongside a new funding marketplace designed to connect startups directly with investors.

Rounding off the year, the Valencia Digital Summit (VDS)  will take center stage in October, continuing to be one of Spain’s main tech ecosystems. VDS has built a reputation for highlighting emerging technologies like AI and blockchain while fostering discussions around sustainability and smart cities. The 2025 edition promises to expand its focus on deep tech, offering tailored workshops for early-stage startups aiming to scale internationally. With Valencia’s vibrant startup scene and increasing global visibility, this event is not to be missed.

In November, Barcelona will once again host the Smart City Expo World Congress from the 4th to the 6th. As the world’s leading event for cities and urban innovation, it provides a unique meeting point for the entire smart city ecosystem. The congress aims to empower cities and collectivize urban innovation across the globe, promoting social innovation, establishing partnerships, and identifying business opportunities dedicated to creating a better future for cities and their citizens worldwide.

Concluding the year, Tech Spirit Barcelona is scheduled for December 11th and 12th at the historic Llotja de Mar. Shortly after, the Health Tech Summit 2025 will spotlight cutting-edge innovations in healthcare technology.
