Every year, more conferences and events focusing on enterprise and industry technologies and the finance that drives them are established. With so many to choose from, it’s tough to know which is worth attending. Below, we share our favourites.
JANUARY
The year 2024 gets off to a flying start with CES in Las Vegas from 9th to 13th January, a must-attend event that marks the start of the year for innovation. Next is the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting (Davos Conference) from 15th to the 19th, and if you’re in Dubai, the iFX EXPO Dubaï 2024 between the 16th and 18, the world’s first and largest business-to-business financial trade show, bringing together online commerce, financial services and FinTech professionals from all over Europe, Asia and the Middle East.
FEBRUARY
February is marked by three major technology events. The first is the Malaysia Technology Expo (MTE), an international trade show renowned for showcasing the latest technological discoveries and groundbreaking inventions – on the 22nd. Back in Europe, Paris will host NFT Paris, on the 23rd to 24th. Finally, as it does every year, Barcelona will host theMobile World Congress (MWC 2024) from February 26th to March 1st – one of the world’s biggest events focused on mobile and connectivity.
MARCH
March will be one of the highlights of the technology year – starting with the Cloud Expo Euro, to be held in London on 6th and 7th. Paris will host the Autonomy Mobility World on 20th and 21st, followed by Global Industrie 2024 from March 25th to the 28th, and Change NOW at the Grand Palais Éphémère. On the other side of the world, the World of Web3 Summit (WOW Summit) will take place in Hong Kong for two days on the 26th. Finally, the month comes to a close in Lille with the FIC, Forum InCyber Européen, from 26th to 28th.
APRIL
In April, tech is on the move! The world tour kicks off in Paris with the AWS Summit on April 3rd, 2024. Then it’s on to New York City to discover the 7th edition of #NFTNYC2024 from April 3 to 5. Back in Europe, Paris will be the location for Paris Blockchain Week from April 9 to 11, the 5th edition of which will be held at the Carrousel du Louvre and is expected to attract several thousand people. Finally, between April 13 and 26, you’ll be in Las Vegas for the 2024 NAB Show, the content trade show par excellence; then Geneva, for the 49th edition of Geneva Innovation.
MAY
May promises to be an exciting month for technology, with VivaTech returning from May 22 to 25, 2024. The month will also see the Digitalk Conference, an annual forum dedicated to digital technologies, taking place in Sofia, Bulgaria, on May 16th. Then it’s time for the 35th edition of ITEX 2024 in Malaysia. Finally, the BEYOND EXPO in Macau, the benchmark technology event for the MENA region, returns from May 22nd to 25th, and the world tour will end in London, which will host the first edition of the long-awaited AI World 2024 from May 30 to 31st.
JUNE
Before heading off for the summer, the finance ecosystem will be in Amsterdam for Money20/20 from June 4 to 6, 2024. On the same dates, the LP/VC event SuperVenture will be held in Vienna, while SouthSummit is on from June 5th to 7th. Further east, ICTComm, the telecommunications trade show for the Asian region, takes place from June 6 to 8. Then it’s on to COMPUTEX Taipei, one of the world’s biggest B2B ICT trade shows, from June 4 to 7, and to end the month where it began, the TNW Conference 2024, “The Next Web”, covers the latest technology trends and spotlights innovative start-ups, in Amsterdam on June 20 and 21.
JULY & AUGUST
In July, the blockchain ecosystem can look forward to Ethereum’s 7th annual conference, EthCC 7, to be held in Brussels from July 8th to 11th. And although not quite tech, Paris will hold the 2024 Olympic Games from July 26th to August 11th
SEPTEMBER
It’s back to school in Germany with IFA Berlin, a major consumer electronics event, from September 6 to 10, followed byTechCrunch Disrupt Berlin 2024, an event bringing together entrepreneurs, investors and opinion leaders, from September 11th to 12th. Finally, we’ll be in Cologne on September 18th and 19th for the DMEXCO 2024 Expo, an international digital marketing event.
OCTOBER
France opens with the ball of October mobility events – the European Mobility Expo, to be held in Strasbourg from the 1st to 3rd. In France, the Assises de la Cybersécurité 2024 will be in Monaco from October 9th to 12th, and the BPI France BIG will be held in Paris on October 10, 2024, to discuss French Tech. France will be the place to be for tech in October, with a new edition of BIG Data & AI on October 15th and 16th. Finally, we’ll be in Nuremberg for IENA 2024 “International Trade Fair Ideas”, the international trade fair dedicated to ideas, inventions and new products.
NOVEMBER & DECEMBER
After such an intense year, November and December still hold some memorable moments of exchange around technology. Starting with the must-attend Web Summit, to be held in Lisbon from November 11th to 14th, and SLUSH, the place to be for startups, in Helsinki on November 20th. From the 13th to 14th, ATX Montréal will be held at the Palais des Congrès, to discuss the future of robotics and automation. Finally, the year will come to a close in Paris, with the Tech Show Paris, bringing together 5 major trade shows, and the Impact Paris Summit, to be held on December 5th, 2024.
